The thing that I loved most about my studies in Milan at the Institute Marangoni: it wasn’t all dry theory. We got to work with REAL BRANDS. The actual designer in charge came in and evaluated our student projects from sketch phase to final presentation. Yeah, nerve-wrecking! But HEY, can you get better input and motivation than working with some real-ass people who are shaking up the fashion industry? The cherry on top was our thesis project for …MOTHERFUCKING LOUIS VUITTON!!!! Legendary accessories designer Fabrizio Viti gave us a tour at the LV Factory and a theme for our thesis to work on. Aaaaand so I ended up designing two crazy shoes for my final project – inspired by the one and only musical “Cabaret” with Liza Minelli.
